Gregory Gardens was established in 1993
to maintain plant material for Northscape landscaping. During the
mid to late 90's, inventory grew to accommodate the demand for high
quality, hardy plant material. Green houses were built to protect the
plants from late frost and high winds. Residential retail sales
increased as homeowners wanted to purchase the same high quality
plant material that our crews were installing.
In 2006, Steve Gregory accepted the
position of Grounds Manager at Lake Superior State University. At
that time, the focus at Gregory Gardens shifted to that of retail
sales. It was apparent there was a market for a retail nursery with
locally grown plant material for the diverse growing condition of the
North. Steve specialized in growing large established potted annuals
and perennials that are weeks ahead of those grown in flats. His
works with Gregory Gardens lead him to become a long standing member
of the Michigan Certified Nurseryman.
Recently in 2011 Kevin Wozniak, owner
of K-Woz landscaping purchased Gregory Gardens. In addition to the
same great quality products people have come to depend on from
Gregory Gardens, we will now offer a full install and maintenance
department. Steve will continue to help grow Gregory Gardens by
offering design services.
K-Woz landscaping has served the E.U.P
for six years and offers top quality brick patios, sidewalks,
driveways and retaining walls. They also install everything from
landscape beds to single tree plating. K-Woz is also available for
lawn and landscape maintenance and tree removal.
